Pakistan does not currently have a comprehensive, standalone data protection law equivalent to the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Personal Data Protection Bill has been under development but, at the time of this Policy's effective date, has not been enacted into law. In the absence of enacted legislation, 777as applies internationally recognised data protection principles — including purpose limitation, data minimisation, accuracy, storage limitation, integrity and confidentiality — to the processing of all user data, including that of Pakistani users.
We do not claim to be regulated by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the State Bank of Pakistan or any other Pakistani government body in relation to data protection.
